I love making websites that look good, are very fast, and are highly visible to search engines. Using WordPress and my own workflows, I enjoy the process that leads to the end result: delivering a website that adds value to your organization. Here are three things about my work:
1. WordPress is a great tool.
Over 40% percent of the internet is built with it! Thousands of world-class developers improve it daily, so it just keeps getting better. Bottom line: you can get a world-class website without having to spend $20,000 at an agency.
2. I can code.
Web design, UX principles, SEO, and WordPress site-building require no coding ability. But I do know how to code, so I can look into the inner workings of your website and make necessary adjustments. It helps a lot. What do I know? The usual: HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and javaScript, plus a bit of jQuery, Bootstrap, Node.js, Git, and other things on a need to know basis. I’m continually learning so that my superpowers grow stronger.
3. It’s all about the UX.
Yes, your site should look good, and I love beautiful sites. But it should be more than pretty. The User Experience (UX) is everything.
- Why did I put the button on the right, not the left?
- Why is this section before that section?
- Why is the widget orange and the other thing blue?
Answer: because it elicits an intended response from your visitors (users). Everything is on purpose.
